Members of COBAHORThe Consejo del Bahoruco Oriental (COBAHOR) is formed by non governmental organizations (NGOs), base organizations, ecological societies and personalities of the region. Some of the members are:
Besides the above members, the La Guázara, La Ciénaga, Paraíso, Enriquillo and Polo women's and peasants' groups are also members as well as the ecological societies of Los Blancos and San Rafael. The peasants' groups of Polo are represented by the Junta de Asociaciones de Campesinos. Institutions or organizations that, for any reason, could not (or do not wish) be members of COBAHOR but have a particular interest in the region are associated as "Friends of COBAHOR". Among them are the governmental and municipal entities. The municipality of Paraíso has always supported COBAHOR and its top authority, the Mayor, takes part in the meetings of COBAHOR.
